The Challenger Approaching screen has been a staple of the Smash series since the very first game. Though, by the fourth or fifth time fighting them, they're not really unkown, right? If you manage to blow it again, there's a bit of a cooldown on the runback, but you'll never run out of opportunities to battle the unknown challenger. Fortunately, the second time around, players will likely either be more familiar with their opponents, or they can choose a character they may not have had access to the first time. It's worth noting that you can't choose which Approaching Challenger to battle rematches will proceed in the order they appeared to the player. Select it to challenge a foe you didn't quite get a handle of the first time around. In the bottom-right corner of the screen, there will be a small glowing icon displaying a set of double doors labeled Challenger's Approach near the lower right-hand side of the screen.
